[dropcap]I[/dropcap]f you feel like there’s not enough time in your day to get everything done, you’re not alone. But, if you’re feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, how do you get better at time management?[/cs_text][x_video_player type=”16:9″ src=”https://youtu.be/JQEcR_bdWBk” hide_controls=”false” autoplay=”false” no_container=”false” preload=”none” advanced_controls=”false” muted=”false” loop=”false” poster=””][cs_text]Dr. Larry Burchett recently sat down with health and wellness expert Caroline Jordan, who offered up three ways that you can manage your time more efficiently and, in turn, leave more time to make yourself happy and healthy.

1. Don’t Multitask

People think that doing more things at once will help them check more tasks off their list but, when you multitask, you’re more distracted — and the quality of your work suffers greatly. To be more productive, focus wholly on one thing at a time.

2. Unplug from Social Media

We all know how distracting your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds can be — and how a five-minute work break can turn into a two-hour trip down the YouTube rabbit hole. To make the most of your time, turn your phone off or install one of these social-media-blocking apps to limit your distractions. You can also install similar apps for your computer.

3. Just Say No

FOMO (“fear of missing out”) is real in today’s social media age. Many people think they need to say yes to everything so they don’t miss an exciting moment. Instead, you should say yes to putting yourself first. By prioritizing your own needs, you can better manage your time in a way that will make you happy — not exhausted.
